I don't know... some of those Elysburg Senior Citizen Quilters can be pretty rowdy. I head the reason they don't ride the coasters so much was those "episodes" with the on-ride camera on Twister. (OK, I'm making the whole thing up)
I'd go if I knew there'd be somebody to ride the Looper with me.
Hmm, so how many board feet of lumber ARE there on Phoenix? (First correct answer gets a major wedgie-- in the queue.)
I'd go but I'm not an ACE member (and because I have a wedding to attend).
CP was amazing, going back next June to ride Maverick

Now for my real post... Knoebels is offering a buy one get one free on all day wristabands/handstamps for this Satuday and Sunday. That's 2 with coasters for $21.00! Or without for $17.00. OK, back to sleep now. *** Edited 4/28/2006 8:24:48 PM UTC by RatherGoodBear***
Ye Olde Mill Ice Cream, also the soft ice cream stand near the Carousel. It's become a tradition for us to get some kind of ice cream on the way out of the park.
Funnel Cakes (the stand by the outdoor stage)
The Oasis outdoor cafeteria has some good specials on certain nights, for example BBQ'd Chicken.
Alamo (indoor sit down) has huge portions of pretty good food at good prices-- especially for a park. It's standard restaurant food, so you can get things like soup, pork chops, roast turkey if you're looking for something other than the typical dog or burger. It will take some time though, so you'll have to weigh that against your riding time. Another plus, it has AC, which is soooo good on those 90+ degree days. But there's usually a wait and everyone in your party must be there to be seated.
The toughest thing about Knoebels is you can't get everything everywhere so it makes it a bit tough to pick just one place for everyone to sit and eat at. So if you want a Gyro a friend wants a Hot Sausage, and someone else wants Tacos you need make 3 stops.
The park was pretty crouded. At least compared to my last visit in 2004. Even so, the lines were nothing to complain about. All I went on in 2004 were the coasters, so with an all day ride pass I got to enjoy a lot more of the park this time.
We did get a construction tour. Even though it is not a big site and you can walk around the whole perimeter anyway, we were able to get much better phoos by getting to walk around the site. As I was not born until after the last FT was gone in the early 70's, it was pretty cool to get to see this up close and personal. I have some old photos of the Euclid Beach FT, but in person was much better.
While we were enjoying our pizza and birch beer, John was awnsering questions about the park and the FT project. In the meantime, Dick was walking around handing out complimentary passes for a free ride on the FT. (once it is open obviously)
DAFE was also there and presented Dick with a plaque for the #1 Favorite Dark Ride, "The Haunted Mansion" I belive this was 6th year in a row for this honor.
All in all I had a fun time. I can't wait til next year when I hope I'll be headed back to ride the FT. :)
P.S. - Later this afternoon, I plan to post the pictures from the event on my website. Just look in the ACE section. :)

I left my house at 5AM to get to the park at 11AM. I got all my riding in that I wanted from then until 2:30. So I slept for an hour before lunch started at 3:30. After lunch was the tour and then I left for home at about 5:15. I got home around 11PM. If if didn't take that hour nap I don't think I would have made it. The only thing I didn't stay for was the ERT, but I got 2 rides in on each coaster anyway.
Pictures are up. I only posted the FT and people pictures. I got dozens of shots of the coasters and other rides as well. Including a video of the Power Surge. I never rode a power surge before. That is a pretty neat ride. Kind of similar to a Chaos.
Whirlwind I will miss you... :( *** Edited 4/30/2006 4:44:45 PM UTC by Jason Hammond***

But I think he meant Flying Tigers, which isn't new except for the roof over it, but does go in a circle.
