Accurate weather forceast for May 4th?

You may or may not know...but, I'm from South Florida.

I'm looking for some links to some weather forcast sites that might be a bit more accurate than the Weather Channel at weather.com. I've heard (from various CP Ride Ops...in the past) that the Weather Channel is the least accurate for forcast in the CP area.

I'm arriving in Sandusky approx 7:00pm on May 3rd for one night and leaving around 5:00pm Sunday may 4th...So, I want to pack as LIGHT as possible (only a carry on), but also want to have the correct gear (jacket, coat, hat, gloves, rain poncho, eye goggles, etc...). Keep in mind that I have lived in South Florida for a long time, and my blood has thinned considerably!! :o)

So even though the (weather channel) forcast for May 4th says - Partly Cloudy, Temps 61°/55°, rain chance @ 0% - Sounds to good to be true!!...but, that's what I consider rather chilly to almost cold (please don't laugh...), but pleasent because of the partly cloudy part. I'm guessing that @ 7:30am, when the TTD VIP stuff is starting it will be rather cold (IMO)...probably in the 40's Burrr!!!

Any help is appreciated much.... :o)

Frankly, here in Michigan the weather channel national (not the LOCAL crap) is the most accurate. Currently, it's predicted to be sunny and highs in the low 60's.

I understand you would think that is pretty chilly being from Florida. To us "northerners", that is COMFORTABLE weather.

I would make sure you have a jacket with you, because the penninsula can be a tad cooler with the lake breezes. My attire for the day will be lightweight cargo pants, a short sleeved t-shirt (Coasterbuzz shirt), and a jacket.

I find the most accurate weather in this area in on a site called Intellicast.

http://www.intellicast.com

Growing up in the area, and working for the park for over a decade, 61 at Cedar Point during this time of year is quite cold. It may be 61 downtown Sandusky, but out on the pennisula it will be much cooler. So a jacket and a sweatshirt would be a good idea. Jeans are good too. I would not worry about gloves as it won't be that cold.

I've been watching the forecast for SFWoA on Sunday also. Between weather.gov (nat'l weather service) partly sunny 58, weather channel partly sunny 61, accuweather partly sunny 65 and intellicast partly sunny 63, I think it safe to say it will be partly sunny and in the low 60's in Aurora. I wouldn't expect it to be much different in Sandusky. While it may seem a little chilly to you (you Floridians are spoiled ;) ), I'd take that kind of weather anyday at a park.
Thanks ALL, for your comments and your forcast(s)...I will keep checking those sites up untill my flight leaves Miami @ 12:30pm on Sat. May 3rd...

Maybe I'll see/meet some of you "Buzzer's" there on Sunday for TTD-VIP. If weather permits...I will probably be wearing my FLCC (short sleeve - Florida Coaster Club) T-shirt! I always get asked alot of questions about our club when I wear it...especially so far from home!!

CCruiser.. while it might be in the low 60's that day.. you must remember this is the midwest.. and that temp might only be reached.. for a couple of hours.. and then once the sun starts to go down.. it coluld get pretty Chilly.. so don't forget the golves.. and probably a long sleeved T..

Happy Coasting... And hope to see you in line!

The best weather for CP can be found at http://www.wtol.com

That is Channel 11 from Toledo. It's the only local news I ever watch.

I don't know how good it is for Sandusky, but www.wunderground.com is my favorite.

As a (non-working) meteorologist, I think you'll get your best forecast at http://www.weather.gov. I would say http://www.accuweather.com would be second best.
