Accident on Portable Drop Tower in Virginia
Last evening there was a seat failure on a portable Larson Super Shot at a county fair in Virginia. A woman in her mid-40s was riding when her seat dislodged and she crashed through the floor of the ride. No word on the latest condition of the rider, but once extricated from under the ride trailer she was transported to a local hospital.
The ride is owned and operated by Inners Shows of NC. The ride had been inspected yesterday, the opening day of the fair. Rumors abound, but a lot of details likely won't be released during the investigation.
