ABC to parade TV stars around California Adventure

Television broadcaster ABC will parade its stars through parent company Walt Disney Co.'s California Adventure theme park this weekend in a bid for a fall ratings pick-me-up as the No. 4 network fights to regain viewers. Stars to appear include Jennifer Garner from "Alias" and Jim Belushi from "According to Jim."

I didn't realize they crashed and burned so hard, though come to think of it, aside from ABCnews, I don't watch anything but Alias. God I love Jennifer Garner.

When I was at California Adventure two weeks ago they were promoting this event to death. I am really quite glad I missed it.

You can trace ABC's downfall to the overexposure of Millionaire. For a while there it was on 3-4 nights a week and they gave up on traditional programming.

They did this same PR thing last year. I think the stars enjoy it b/c their families get the special treatment but I don't know if it has any real impact on viewership.

I would rather see some shows on ABC ala the old Disney days where you got behind the scenes tours of parks, upcoming movies, etc. (No Eisner though.) I would like to see a show about the entire WDW property...not just the parks. Those kinds of things would be the reality tv I would like to see.

Well there's a good question too... how did they not land a reality show while they were hot in Disney World? Worried we might see that employees aren't chipper and cheerful 24/7?
