Abandoned Coasters

That said, I just found an older one than both of those:

Toboggan

Wasn't there something similar at Ghost Town? Never opened because they felt it was too dangerous? In fact, I think there are a few of the concrete supports still hanging around under Cliff Devil Red Hanger. I can't seem to find anything about it now.

I heard somewhere that Michael Joackson was going to build a tribute coaster for Parliment Funkadelic, P-Funct. (?)

Vertigorama - Intamin/Gio double-fail! http://www.rcdb.com/1506.htm

Everything else coaster-wise in the park at least operated for some amount of time...but this is two miles of trackage that never opened.

I don't know if it was that kind of ride, but I do know what you're talking about. Tommy Faircloth had some stuff about it on his website at one point.

As to the first coaster in this thread, I'd seen that a few months ago. Looks interesting. Wonder if they couldn't get it working, or if they just didn't bother since that section of the park was never completed.

Also, wonder who made that thing.

^ Those lift hills on Vertigorama look like they're straight out of NoLimits when someone doesn't know how to use the 'I' key.

Welcome back, red train, how was your ride?!

That Vertigorama is pretty amazing. Those trains have sat there for 27 years! Lacking an electrical system sure doesn't seem like something that would keep it from being completed (or demolished) for so long.

Ah! You found the Bendix County Toboggan!
