AAWW POO

Yes, last year at Six Flags Fiesta Texas, stupid Rattler was shut down all day. Also last year at Six Flags Great Adventure, Batman & Robin and Viper were closed. Again last year, this time at Six Flags AstroWorld, Texas Tornado wasnt running.

LONG LIVE ARROW DYNAMICS!!

I had "Deja Poo" when I made trips to all 3 parks with a supposedly operating installation, and rode a total of zero.

I finally got on the one in ATL this past March. It did not live up to the hype.

"drop rides, not bombs."

Definately disappointed that WT was closed although I was Really mad at myself....We were at cp on june 6 when WT was opened for a short time...decided to get on MANTIS instead (big mistake) because all the rides were new to us and besides we'd get plenty ERT on WT for coastermania...hah! luckily we did not feel our 9 hour drive from nc was wasted b/c everything else that we wanted to ride was open.

I went to Dorney Park for my first ever visit last summer to ride Steel Force and Talon. Well, Steel Force was great but Talon was closed down, so I never got to ride it until a few days ago :) At the time nobody knew what was going on so I walked to the line and there was a ride ttendant blocking the empty line. I asked him what is wrong with the coaster and he said mechanical problems. Then he looked down and saw that I was wearing my blue ACE shirt and said, "Oh you're an enthusiast, so am I." So he told me what was really going on. The cicuits broke and the controls were damaged and the ride was not going to open all day. I was extremely disappointed that I could not ride Talon, especially since I had heard many good things, such as how smooth it was and how quiet thanks to the sand. But, it's also good to show that your an enthusiast because you might just get "inside information."

god i hope X is open when we go to SFMM. were leaving tomorrow morning at 5 am (june 14th) to drive to las vegas from MN, ride there, go to SFMM, and then KBF. How often is X open these days?

-----------------
#1 Steel- Millennium Force
#1 Wood- Villian

I have a real track record of this sort of thing since I started traveling in earnest last year:

-SFWOA - Missed Xflight by 3 days

-KW - Missed Phantom's Revenge by 2 days, and both Thunderbolt and Jackrabbit were also down

-SFA - Joker's Jinx was jinxed

-SFGadv - OTSR-less Chiller just happened to be closed the day we were there

IB - No LoCoSuMo!!!!! Missed it by about 6 days

On May 10, 2002 (the exact date!), I arrived at Cedar Point to find out that Millennium Force was closed.

It all worked out because Wicked Twister was open and it only had an hour wait.

What amazes is me is that a topic titled "AAWW POO" gets so many looks.....lol

Curious minds here at Cb.

Think off me.. flying from Gibraltar in Southern Spain to LA with wife and child, only to find that X is not open. Flew over last year to discover it was not ready neither was the super bommerang. Total cost so far without a ride on X probably around $5,000 in two years.

Is X the only reason you guys want to go to Magic Mountain? There are loads more awsome coasters there even though I can see your disappointment with not riding X.

I went to World of Adventures to find that Cheetah was closed and Hangman had broken down. The best thing I had all day was probably Bug Out.

Lake Compounce-So Fresh and So Clean Clean

Last summer when I went to SFMM. Not only was DejaVu not open yet, X had barely gotten vertical. But I never really expected X to be ready, DejaVu I think I missed by a matter of weeks. But Flashback didn't operate all day. I know most people hate it but it's unique and I like to give everything at least one spin. Psyclone was still closed due to the DejaVu construction, again lots of people wouldn't think I missed much but I like to ride everything possible. But the thing that I actually was looking forward to riding that was closed was Viper. Not only could I not get a great view of X under construction, I couldn't experience one of SFMM's most famous coasters. Now that was a bummer. Other than that I have been able to ride every coaster in the parks that I've visited.

I have this ability to plan my visits to CP on the same day that Gemini is down for the day. It isn't the biggest or best but I always have a blast riding her. Just my luck though.

Maybe I should consult the Magic Eight Ball before I make my next reservations ;) ... or post a topic the day before I go here at the 'Buzz and ask if it will be open the following day!

Vertigo, it sure is a disappointment when you've waited 29 years to go out west period! Sure, I'm looking towards a whole week of great parks, but X was at least half of my reason for going. I've been on many of their prototypes, and was hoping to add X and Matterhorn this summer. :(

BaSSiStiSt, remind me to skip your house when I pick up my next carload of junkies! J/K! Sorry about your bad luck.

'moosh, don't feel bad! It happened to everyone. I was lucky enough to get my parents to go in '82 and rode it. But it lives on, as perhaps the finest suspended around, at that same park ;)
