If you live farther away from SFGAm and are going one of these weekends, go very very early, I work at a restaraunt right there and to get to it its A pain, just to cut into it. 94 is packed up the ramp, and down the tollway, and you will be there for hours! Gurnee paid millions to put A warning sign up. Best times to go are before the park opens, so you have to go very early, if you dont. Have lots of fun sitting in your car , boiling, in that traffic. Later guys.
That's why, when I'm going in July, I'm checking into a hotel across the street the night before so I can walk there in the morning.
Now, I just hope Deja Vu is open. I already missed it once at SFMM.
What time does it start to get packed? I got their at 10am last time and it wasnt to bad.
When I go to work, I start at 12, its a restaraunt right there, and its backed up, mainly during the weekends though. I say mid July, it will get bad, it always gets bad.
Best bet is to avoid the Grand Ave. ramp and exit at Rte 120(Belvidere Rd.) which is the ramp before the Grand exit. Get off at 120 east. Make a left at Oplaine Rd. Go left on Washington St. SFGAm will be on your right with the alternative access right by the American Eagle. No traffic whatsoever and less headaches to deal with.
What is this about Gurnee paying millions for a warning sign? The Illinois Tollway put a digital readout sign on the side of the road warning people of possible traffic backups. They also put a flashing light above the Grand Ave. sign and also provided an alternate being Rte 120 for easier access.
