I work two jobs...needless to say this was late *giggle* = )

My husband and I hadn't been back at CP since 1999, when we stood in front of the massive fence and sign where MF would soon stand. Ever since, I had been practically begging to get back there. But the wedding seemed a bit more important. *grin* THIS year, however, we HAD to go for one reason. Top Thrill Dragster....

Needless to say, we were a little dissapointed when we discovered it wasn't running. I kind of had a feeling it would be, with the recent issues, so I didn't gear myself up to ride. At least we got to see it testing with water torsos. That was kind of a treat, and we got some killer pictures. The roar that thing makes is insane. They started testing it while we were waiting for Magnum and everyone turned to gape. it was insane.

The one thing that really made up for the dissapointment? Riding Milennium Force for the first time. I won't babble on forever here...most of you are YEARS ahead of me on this one = ) But I will say it was, to date, the most intense coaster I've ever ridden. It was awesome, and totally made the trip worth the mileage from Chicago.

The rest of the park was the same as I remembered it: Clean, amazingly well kept, and running fairly smoothly. They had a few issues with Wicked Twister's restraints, and the park was packed with Coaster Mania attendees on Friday, but I had to hand it to CP's staff and management. Everyone was courteous, informative, and made me remember why I keep coming back. Provided they can get TTD up and running around mid July, we're going back for a second try at the monster. But if not, we'll most definately be back next year = )
