A trip to Cedar Point

I will be making my first trip to Cedar Point this year when I go to Coastermania and Coasterbuzz con. I would like to know how many days I should alow to give me ample time to get all the coasters in and possibly some re-rides and a couple flats also. I was thinking three but I would do it in two if I new I would have time to ride all the coasters and anything else I find to ride. This question is just for the amount of time at CP, I will only be staying one day at PKI,
If you've never been to CP allow two days. It's worth it. With Coastermania you will be probably be able to get at least one ride on each coaster, but you'll be very thankful if you have a second day and can really enjoy the park!

Two days.

Not to worry about PKI in one day too. It's very easy to accomplish everything you want to do there and more at a very confortable pace. Even more so if you're going to an event with ERT.

Thanks for the help. Looks like I will just plan 2 days then, yall do know that the two days fall on a Friday and Saturday right? Thanks Peabody for the info on time at PKI, I would have ended up asking that too.

Yeah, it will be killer to do both events,CoasterMania and BeastCon. Hopefully the BeastCon check-in goes later than last year.

We always do three days and still wish we had more time. Of course, I only get to go once a year.

1 day if all you want to do is ride each coaster 1 time.
2- days is you want to gaurantee a ride on each coaster and enjoy the park.
3-days if you want to relax, take you time, enjoy the park, and have some rerides.

Of course, this all depends on the time of year you would be going. From that dates you stated, I would recommend two days.

For the CP experts, how are weekdays in Mid-late May? Empty I assume?

Matt, May weekdays (and Sundays) should be money for you. Kids are pretty much still in school at that point, and Most families don't take they're summer vacations in May.

I would always avoid the park during weekends, if possible, but that is up to you.. and July & August will be the busiest months of the Season.

Hope this helps !!

But isn't late August when schools re-open in the area? (Hoping so because that is when I am trying to schedule my trip ;) )

August and yes late August are still bad. If you can wait, come during Halloweekends. Best time to experience CP.

Yea... my first time to CP was last summer. It was a must that we stay 2 days. You get to see more of the park and get to do more.

I am going again in early June and staying 2 days, hopefully I will have as much fun as I did last time.

Have fun.

I went last year during the last full week of operations in late August and it was a breeze! I got so many rides in it should've been illegal! And as for the Halloweekends, I also went to closing weekend and it was jam packed to the gills this past season but the same weekend in '01 was very empty. It depends heavily on the weather that's for sure. No one can really predict when the best time is to go, they can just say when the worst time is to go!

Donny S- Thanks! I was thinking (and hoping) that it would be that way! Once again, thanks for the reply!
