A Tornado? In Palm Springs?

Hey, I drove by Soak City in Palm Springs today while test driving cars and to my amazement, there stood the huge structure for a Tornado slide. They really shoehorned it into this little park. Did anyone know about this because it's in my back yard and is news to me! :) Having seen 4 of them, but never having been on one, I'm really exciting for March 18 when they open their gates. I'll post some pictures tomorrow.

Another coaster forum had pics of the construction so yeah, apparently some people have known about this ;)
I found those pictures just now, don't read over there too often. A bit more has been done as the funnel is now mounted. *** Edited 2/13/2006 8:50:39 AM UTC by GoliathKills***
Doesn't seem that people care too much of the little park (not that they should, it's nothing special really) but I went and got some pics today around noon. Unfortunately, noon here is really bright so the pictures are not so great, but you can see where everything is. The slide is where the rock wall was for those that have been to the park.

...which is the site I was referring to [but not going to mention].
What makes me mad is that Palm Springs, of all places, is getting a Tornado before OOF.
