Hey, thanks for the pix! The Zierer coaster even looks cool! Any more?

I can't wait to go. I drove by the construction site this weekend. Just caught glimpses of it. I think the nurseries for the park are larger than the park itself!

I suppose you could call Iron Dragon a terrain coaster. It's as flat as Cedar Point is.

Not to mention "Ninja" at SFMM....very nice example....but probably not as well gardened as Quicksilver Mine Ride.

And "Goldrusher" at SFMM...

While we're on the subject, when is someone going to build a Hyper-Terrain coaster? Wait a minute? Wouldn't that be Phantom's Revenge???

Well...we need one on the West Coast!

I can't believe everyone forgot about Nemesis. That is one of the best terrain coasters in the world.

I thought a terrain coaster had to follow the "natural" terrain of the land. What im trying to say is, the trenches on nemesis are man made.

There are no hard definitions on that stuff (for example, look up is Superman: The Escape a coaster :) ) but I would tend to agree with you.

Manmade terrain or not, Nemisis does look awfully cool!

I'm still wondering about Whizzer at SFGAm being a "terrain" coaster. I live in suburban Chicago, and we don't have "terrain". lol. It's a good ride, though, and always a fun stop in a high-thrill park.

SFMM has technically 3 real terrain coasters: Revoulution don't believe me look at the old pictures from when it opened, Goldrusher its a mine train all mine trains are terrain coasters, and Ninja it just doesn't look like it cause of the suspended track watch a train do its run it follows the terrain nicely.

Technically you could. At least compared to the rest of the coasters in the park. Go ride Shockwave and then immediately head over to the Whizzer. That should convince you its a terrain coaster.

The Dragon at Ocean Park HONG KONG is an Arrow terrain triple looper with two lifts. It is built alongside and around the edge of a mountain, which sits in the chinese sea

Maybe it could be the Bride of Beast, like the Bride of Frakenstein.

A POV ride of Dragon can be seen on the World's Greatest Roller Coaster Thrills in 3D tape. It the second tape in the America Greatest RC thrills set. It uses the hillside to great effect and looks like a great ride. To bad its a 20 hour flight to Hong Kong (not including the cash needed) to ride it.
