A SFMM question

I read on a trip report, and even during ERT times that Riddler's Revenge ran 3 trains but one would always be empty even though their were lines.

Does anybody know if this is normal and why would they do this. I have never been to a park where they intentionally ran a train empty while people are wating to ride it and deosnt make sense to me.

When MGM was open we sometimes ran Lightning Bolt with two trains only loading one. We did it only early in the day before the crowds arrived or if we didnt really need two train op. That way if the ride went down, we only would have to worry about a single loaded train, vs. two trains with very few people in each.

"ok everyone go ahead and pull down on your shoulder restraint so you feel nice and stuck!"

I believe the train just came out of rehab. It's probably just testing. They wouldn't run one empty for no reason. It's too expensive (wheels, energy).
Yea it was most definitly testing... I wish they would do that with the red train on SRoS @ sfne since it needs more testing...
