A little boasting from "Uncle Moosh"

We didn't take my son to CP until he was 48" tall (6 years old) so he could ride all the coasters. I started him out light because my first coaster experience when I was 8 years old scared me to death. His first coaster was Iron Dragon which he thought was "fun, but I want to ride something bigger!" He worked his way up that day, and ended it on Magnum.

Nothing beats the excitement of kids when they enjoy their first coasters!

Da Midget's first coaster was VF's "Mild Thing" at somewhere between 16-17 months. She wanted to ride with CBaby and there was nothing that said she couldn't.

Second-to-last coaster was Gemini. After squealing in delight through Corkscrew and DT, we thought she was a player--nuh-uhhhh. I guess sitting third row from the back wasn't too bright either.

She saw her short little life pass before her eyes a dozen times and completely lost it. I gotta say tho, I wish I could fly off a seat like that...

That's so funny 'Playa. My daughter was the same way on MF. She was having a great time until the first hill of air. I looked over and she had this look on her face. She was also looking for something to grab on to. Very funny. She got used to it. We rode 11 times that night.

Talk about progressing your way up the coaster ladder. Her previous tallest coaster was 100 feet high until MF. Maybe the flight to Ohio deadened her sense of height for that day. We immediately went on MF upon arriving to CP.

Good times!!!

Connor is at a very odd age. He's now enjoying the adult coasters he's tall enough to ride but still wants to ride kiddie rides, too.

After his first ride on Monty we had to meet Grandma & Grandpa in Camp Snoopy, who were taking turns riding the Rocky Road Trucking Company with Sean. Connor said he wanted to ride Monty again but his Mom said he'd have to wait until we met the others. When he heard Sean was riding the trucks he forgot all about Monty and started jumping up and down and screaming "I wanna ride the trucks! I wanna ride the trucks!"

Anyway, its great when you witness little kids discover coaster thrills but like many have said its NEVER a good idea to force them to ride anything.

A former GF and still good friend of mine allowed me to take her 5yr old on Racer. his first big coaster.

I never seen such a grin in all my life. I think I created a monster though cause the next year when he was tall enough to ride Papa Beast he came off saying " IS THAT IT?"

LOL! Even a 5 year old knows that The Beast is booooring!

kidding, kidding...maybe. ;)

No, it was not the same face--trust me. I'm very familiar with the "I'd crap my pants if only I were sufficiently composed" face from 5 year-old CBaby's first hyper rides.

This was a face that would make an epileptic stop in mid-seizure and say, "Dang, you're messed up!" It was just that bad.
