A Chance Track Sighting

Quite a while back, I made a post about several coaster supports I spotted at the Chance-Morgan manufacturing facility in Wichita. Here's a possibly tantalizing follow-up: I was in Wichita again this past weekend and of course took a requisite swing around the Chance-Morgan complex. On the south side, where before there were a FEW supports, are now DOZENS of huge coaster supports.
And the really interesting part: now there are also DOZENS of Morgan-type track pieces. Some are stacked next to the supports. There are also several difficult-to-see stacks in a lot further within the complex. The track appeared to be standard-gauge Morgan track, but the pieces closest to the street had an unusual box-beam spine instead of cylindrical. (Perhaps transfer or station track?) The track and ties are yellow and the spine is orange. The supports remain silver.
Any ideas?
Dang it! I specifically requested *orange* ties and *yellow* spine for my backyard hyper! ;)

Nope, Jeff. I've seen the Morgan parts at SFM in person...they are white and red, as seen here [they look pink, but are indeed red].

That's what they have to be: SFM's hyper. I can't wait to see that thing built. I wonder if it'll stray from the traditional out n back Morgan hyper layout. I heard somewhere that it might be a twister.

Why does it have to be for a park here in the US? Steel Dragon's track and supports were manufactured at Morgan's old headquarters in La Selva Beach, CA [near Santa Cruz].

Haux - see my earlier reply for a pic of the SFM coaster parts on-site...the colors do not match.

SFH's Superman coaster was bright green and purple when the first track parts were put on public display at Vekoma's headquarters. So that color-thing really isn't that important. Coaster track can be repainted you know.. ;)

It's gotta be for the rumored Morgan hyper at Camden! What? There's no rumored hyper at Camden? Well, there should be...

I hereby claim that Morgan is going to build a hyper at Camden Park in Huntington, WV. I heard it from my father's cousin's half-sister's nephew's friend, who works at the park...so it must be true!

DRNK - or Vekoma just displayed what pieces they had *on-site* and passed them off as Superman track.

I don't doubt you Moosh, but I wonder if they are really building another hyper with Steve Okomoto gone, and Dana Morgan just working as a consultant. Interesting stuff.

Edit, perhaps they are building a mine train or other small coaster?

Moosh - You can still see the green and purple paint underneath the Superman pink/brown/used-to-be-red paint.

In that picture on Screamscape, they only show a good shot of the supports. The stuff in the background may be track, but it's hard to point out. I bet the track pieces are for SFM's hyper. Of course, we can't be sure.

Or, it could be the rumored hypers finally going to the Paramount parks in 2004. Maybe they went with Chance/Morgan instead of B&M?

Or maybe the employees at the Chance-Morgan factory are sitting at their computers right now, laughing to enjoyment at thier accomplishment of totally boggling a quaint little forum on coasterbuzz.com ;)
