a 4th new attraction at pki?

I just got a 2003 park map of pki in the mail today. Right accross from delirium there is a yellow star with the word (new) written in it. It is located where the beer garden is/was. Does anybody know what it is?
It's the new Bubba Gump Shrimp Shack restaurant replacing Oktoberfest Gardens.

It is my personal belief that Lesourdsville Lake is closed for 2003. I'll let you know if anything is announced.

I just hope they still sell beer.

Even if they do not sell beer you can just get it at action zone grill.

They have the full restaurant in Monterey, CA. The thing to get is a pail of shrimp. Good eatin's. Sounds like this will be a "quickie" version (pun not intended, but welcome).

PKD has the same thing, and honestly, I wasn't that impressed.

I hope this new "executive chef" has his stuff together, and really gets their food in gear. It's really the only major criticism I have of the park anymore. The food is entirely too mediocre (save for catered media events ;)).

Yeah they will still serve alcohol, better yet more of it and an actual sit down bar. Plans are a 38' bar on the back of the building.

Another yes, Dave, the "executive chef" does have his stuff together and you will start to see a lot of changes, but you can't change everything at once. For those cake and pie lovers out there or people who like desert with their meal are in luck. All cakes had been frozen premade however Dave is starting the park on making the cakes ourselves and let me tell you they are FABULOUS!

Sounds good to me! I'm tired of frozen brownies and melted ice cream. ;)

I am glad they are getting more of a variaty of food. All I seem to be able to find is eather pizza or hambergers.
Last I heard, it wasn't "Bubba Gump's Shrimp Shack"... it was...

"Forrest Gumps Shrimp Shack." There has been a bit of haggling going on about the rights to the name.

Regardless, peel n eat shrimp is a favorite of mine. So long as they don't boil it to extreme. That an an ice cold beer would satisfy me.

Last I heard Shaggy it was back again to Bubba. They've started making signs to put up on the fences around the building and I'm pretty sure they even use the Bubba Gump logo.

I was at Bubba Gump shrimp in Chicago(Navy Pier), and the one @ PKD. PKD is like a McDonalds version, not bad, but definitly fast food. I wish parks would make their foods live up to the prices(all parks, that is, not the ones that are already great!)...

------------------
Yeah, if coasters WEREN'T men we'd have Raging Cow instead!;)

I too have ate at the Bubba Gump shrimp company at Navy Pier in Chicago a few times. A bit pricy it was.

However, I do not think that the full size Bubba Gump Shrimp Company restaurants are affliated with the Park version. The full size restaurants are franchised by Bubba Gump Shrimp Co. International, LLC. The park restaurants are smaller shrimp shacks and are only associated by name, because Paramountobviously also has the rights to use 'Forrest Gump' name.

However, I could be way off.

Man... I went to the Bubba gump shrimp place in Chicago at Navy Pier and I thought the place was killer! The steak (I can't eat shell fish :( , was sooo dang good and it was a really cool place with all the props and things from the movie. It WAS worth the money we spent.
