96% uptime at Cedar Point

Cedar Point is awesome.  When I was there in October, the wind was coming off Sandusky Bay pretty strong and Raptor was down.  I figured it would be gone all day.  Two hours later the wind had died down and Raptor was up and running.  I was blown away...
You might have been there the day I went...I thought it was great because there were NO trims on any rides. I got some pretty intense rides, especially Raptor that night. That's the most intense I've ever seen it run.

-------------
Mayday - Memorial Day Weekend - Nonpoint, Nickelback, Oleander, Staind
Ozzfest - June 8 - Drowning Pool, Papa Roach, Linkin Park, Disturbed, Black Sabbath
Awake Tour- June 15 - Darwin's Waiting Room, Puddle of Mudd, Deftones, Godsmack

What coaster was that on Jeff?

"Well I heard that guys with long signatures are just trying to make up for a shortage in their pants..."
The green inverted one.

Pertaining to the Millennium Force cable fiasco, It was amazing how fast they got it back up and running. Both the lift sled and the track which it rides on were severely damaged. From the train, the track for the sled appeared bumpy and warped. Judging by the flawless appearance of it the following week, they may have replaced the whole thing with no regard to expense.

Also, Magnum went down because it's lift chain broke last year. But there was almost no coverage on it because the very next day, the ride was back up and running as if nothing had happened...replacing a hyper's massive and heavy chain in that little of time is extremely impressive.

I e-mailed a couple parks to ask about their uptime and so far, I've only received one response. This was the rather interesting e-mail I got back from Jeff Siebert at PKI:

"Hellllloooooo Danny,

I hope all is well & I hope your winter is going fast. It's hard to
believe
that we open in just about two month.... I can't wait... IT IS GOING TO
BE A
GREAT YEAR.  Tomb Raider is the coolest, most exciting attraction we
have
ever built (just my opinion).

I'm sorry to inform you that are down-time statistics are for internal
use
only. But I can tell you that every year we look for new and innovative
ways
to achieve less down-time and higher capacity.

Have a great day,

Jeff"
