7th anniversary of 9/11.

No matter what your political view of what is going on, we all should reflect of what occured 7 years ago.

Prayers go out to the family and friends of the victims of this horrible event.

I wonder how much our eagerness to honor the vicitms each year is actually harming the "living victims" each year. I'm not in that position, thank goodness, but I feel for the familes who have to relive this publicly every single year. I think there is a point when the major recognitions should come in five or 10 year increments.

We are doing a candlelight remembrance service on campus for all those lost in tragedies over the last few years tonight. It is not just for the 9-11 tragedy. Which I do think is important.

I really don't want to reflect year after year. I appreciate that some have the need to do so, and I would respectfully ask that you do it in more appropriate places.
