Read from Guide to Six Flags Seattle:
The park has filed a permit with the city of Federal Way last month to build a 75 foot tall wooden roller coaster at the park. Comments from park sources say that the coaster will wind through much of the existing park. We'll hunt down more details soon!
See the permit information here

Great, Raven II is being built thousands of miles away. :(
Someone please enlighten me... Does this park have a lot of room to expand? If a 75 foot woodie can wind through much of the existing park, then the park is either really small, or they have no room.

Yes, Enchanted Village is quite tiny, all the major rides added this year were at the enterance area of the park. They previously had double out back woodie in planning wee the mini golf course used to be, but now they're weave it through the park as a terrain kind of coaster. That space where the mini golf course used to be is most likely in saving for another coaster which they will need.
In 2004, Enchanted Village is going to be blown of the coast by a new park called Great Northwest which will feature muliple outstanding attractions including what is planed be the tallest coaster on the west coast(full circuit), Rainer's Revenge, a hyper. Six Flags is going to be pumping $30(or was it 60) millon dollars into this park in effort to modernize and drastically change this "cheesy" place into a top notch park, but they have to do something quick because pretty soon these two parks will be sharing the same 1.5 million people and one of them might not last.
I'm trying to sum up more than I can count so I'm gonna' direct you to this article which will explain it all to you.

Guess what, guys . . . you may not believe me, but . . . the woodie could possibly comew from--Premier Rides. My buddy just got a job with them in May, and he's told me some information. But this may not be their biggest project. They are actually working on something now for Universal Studios Florida. Keep your ears peeled . . . and say goodbye to Kongfrontation.

Somebody has definetly not seen cornball express!
Cornball is not much more than a 75ft drop and it is built over, between and under and well almost imposibly shoehorned in Indiana Beach.
Great coaster none the less :)

Vertigo, sorry to inform you that The Great Northwest Theme Park is down for the count, if not entirely dead. I posted what I've read on a recent thread entitled GNW Theme Park.
Now, about my park.
Yes the park is only70 acres, but more than a bit is undeveloped. It could quite easily add 2 major rollercoasters and with a little re-arrenging to maximize space, could also fit two more, albeit more compact, like those Batman coasters.
Remember, one thing about park maps is their tendency to distort size and distance. The maps posted on the web of this park don't do it's size any favors. I drove around the perimeter on my visit. It'll never be a major player; I'ts boxed in by housing on 2 sides and major roads/freeway on the other two. But they have plenty of room for this and more. It has been very interesting to watch it expand into a Six Flags park; what they've done so far is excellent!

Nope it's not down, they just got a new supporter and their project is being held back a year.

Great for EV, there isn't much good wood on the west coast (compared to the midwest, IN,IL,MI,OH,PA...), maybe they'll get something like Raven, but longer, so it could have more trains, and possibly be a better coaster. BUT, could the coaster be a GCI, seeing as SF has good relations with GCI?-----------------

GCI would be a little to complex for this location. Though they could work something out, I seriously doubt they would be doing this project unless it's one of their junior woodies.

Don't forget that GCI used to be part of CCI, so they do have some knowledge from CCI that could be used in this situation if needed. It's great to hear a small park getting a woodie. Sure, it's only 75 ft., but that doesn't mean it's not going to be good. With what CCI can do to make a small woodie good, such as Cornball Express, I'm greatly looking forward to seeing this woodie being built, regardless of it's location. Yes, Washington's a ways away for some (even me living in eastern side of PA) but it will definately put Enchanted Village on the map for coaster enthusiasts, if it's built.

No good wood on the west coast? Have you ever heard of Ghost Rider, Giant Dipper (both of them), Roar, Coaster, Coaster Thrill Ride, Tremors, and Timber Terror? Besides, there aren't all that many major cities on the west coast. There is only San Diego, LA, SF, Sacramento, Portland, Seattle, and Vancouver.

That's my job for three websites, a magazine, and my knowledge. My job is to dig up everything, find evidence or research on items from the rumor mills. I've spent quite a bit of time exstending my knowledge globally about coasters as well. The info I news and updates I have on Great Northwest Park came from the gathering of Financial Reports, 8 different tabloids and papers, multiple websites ranging from German to Dutch to Spanish, and then my own little investigation in the amusement industry(that is not something I can explain).
I also have managed to find out about every coaster planned for the park and posted that in your GNW thread if you wanted to know about that. I'm not trying to be the Mr.Know It All or correct everyone, but with all of the things that I do, I have become pretty good at finding the cold hard facts and don't be suprised to see me lay them down.
~~~~Did you guys know that Schwarzkopf had designed a flying coaster for Busch Gardens Williamsburg? They constructed about a tenth of the project and then dropped Schwarzkopf's design when Arrow Suspended seemed for efficent and promising.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Oh, Nasai, I did find a little more detail about the source of Silverwood's racer, there has been a rather large shipment of wood from the Ohio area to the Northwest according to Manufactuering status of South Lumbering. It was also noted for use in an amusement park. Now, I can't say it's a for Silverwood or it's a woodie, but that's not a amount of wood you would use for building a bathroom stall, mabye a hotel though....... I'll shut up now
Dude, that is cool! I am very excited to see that you care enough about the industry to keep such heavy tabs. :) I myself am not really that hardcore, but I love to ride the coasters, so here I sit at my computer writing about something I enjoy. It is nice to know that someone out there, who isn't all high and mighty, I might add, can contribute a tremendous amount of insight. Thanks for the info!
About Silverwood, yes, we shall see. We can only hope, although I would love to see something astounding built just a little bit closer to Seattle. Either Wild Waves, or the GNTP. We shall see there too. Later.
