6-28-02 Jeepers at Concord Mills (Warning: SHORT)

Associated parks:
None

I passed Concord Mills on the way back from Raleigh so I decided it was finally time to get the Python Pit credit. Essentially, I walked in, grabbed 3 tickets, hopped in the back seat, went around 3 times, and walked out while taking about 8 photos. Python Pit is a junior coaster with a fun first drop, nuff' said.

#83 - Python Pit - No Rating (junior)

WOW! You weren't kidding when you said it was short. How long were you there? I know someone who had a 60 second trip once.

It's about time you rode it! Procrastinator...

I do, however, envy you greatly. I rode this exactly 2 months ago on a Saturday. UGH! It was horrible.

It goes like this...

I get 3 dollars from my mom and get in line to get the tickets. After standing in line about 10 minutes, I notice they charge tax. I didn't even think about that. I get out of line and walk 200 yards to the bookstore where my mom was. I got a quarter from her and went back to stand in line for 20 minutes.

I finally get my tickets and make my way back to Python Pit. On the way back there you pass one of them Frog Hopper rides. It does look like immense fun, but I only have 3 tickets. I finally get in line for Python Pit, and immediatly notice that I'm the tallest person in all of Jeepers (adults included).

After about a 15 minute wait, I give the nice man my tickets, and go straight for the back seat. The lapbars are checked while everyone stares at me. I didn't care, it's not like I knew anybody there.

We make our way up the lift, and since I'm in the back, get a nice pop of air in the back. We then go up, and back down a nice helix with great laterals, then right through the smallest headchopper I've ever seen. We then go through a room with a black light, and some nice airtime hills at the end.

The operator let us go around 4 more times and I was greatful, since it is such a great coaster. Only Taxi Jam at Carowinds beats it in the kiddie category because it has that awesome airtime hill after the drop. I had a fun time despite the long lines.

Please help me.. I haven't ridden a coaster in over a month... :(

Yep JamminJ. You pretty much explained what this coaster is all about.

And you people out there that rip on Six Flags for cloning coasters, Jeepers has "9" , count em, "9" Python Pit coasters that are all clones. :)

Anyway, this is a great kiddie coaster.
