We originally planned on heading to Michigans Adventure on this day, but me and my dad didn't wanna have to deal with rain, and besides, we wanted to ride that "big green thing"

We left around 7ish. 8miles from West Virginia a cop pulled us over and we got a speeding ticket... 97, whoops!

First we headed for Phantoms Revenge. The wait was about an hour. As we were walking up the path towards the station the ride ops sent out an empty train and stopped it at the lift. It was hard to see what exactly was going on at the time but they pulled out a platform and set it down across the station, brought in a wheel chair, and a young kid was pushed down the exit with an oxygen mask on. I'm not sure what exactly happened but I was impressed at how quickly and efficiently the ride ops handled the situation. The front seat wait was seven cars, and they were only running one train, but it was worth it. If I had sat down and thought of the changes that Kennywood could have made to the Phantom I wouldn't have envisioned it being this great. The cars are just awesome. And the bunny hops + double dip at the end give great airtime.

Next we hit the Exterminator. The line was about 45 minutes. The ride isn't as exciting now because I know every little thing that happens, but it's still the only roller coaster I've ever been on that makes me light headed.

Time for lunch. We ate at the Parkside Cafe. Expensive, but good. I recommend the popcorn chicken.

Now it was time to hit the wooden coasters. Thunderbolt was down, and all day I could see maintance men walking the track. Does anyone know whats wrong ?

We hit the Racer first. 30 minute wait. This is still my favorite wooden coaster at this park. I love everything from the station shaking as the trains rattle across the top of it to the cars ending in the opposite station in which they started.

Jack Rabbit. 15minutes. My second favorite wooden coaster at the park. The double dip is quite possibly the my favorite drop on any wooden coaster.

Now it was time for the Aero ride. We waited for the edges (the best place on to sit). The wait was about 35minutes. I love the view of the upside down Phantoms Revenge =]

The day was rediculously hot. So, we headed for the car and got the digital camera. We took pictures of the whole park pretty much. Definately a nice break from coastering.

After returning the camera to the car we decided to ride Phatoms Revenge one last time. The wait was about an hour and 15 minutes. Took front seat again. This is my new second favorite coaster right behind Millennium Force.

RATINGS:
Phantom 10 / 10
Exterminator 8.5 / 10
Racer 9 / 10
Jack Rabbit 8.5 / 10
Aero360 8 / 10
Overall 9.5 / 10

PET PEEVES:
5) Ride ops letting kids who are too small to ride on the rides.
4) If your going to have a 20-30 minute music loop in line for a roller coaster, at least put on some good music!
3) It's Millennium FORCE not FALCON!
2) Cops!
1) 8-year-old girls wearing less than they should!

I guess you haven't heard, but Thunderbolt hasn't opened all season due to construction on Phantom's Revenge. Most of the track and structure in and around the valley had to be removed for construction then re-engineered due to the digging of the trench. Small price to pay, I think, for the years of great riding that we'll all have on Phantom's Revenge (which I still haven't ridden).

"1) 8-year-old girls wearing less than they should!"

Agreed!

Millenium Force not Falcon? Huh?

No wookies in this park.

Could you describe the ruckus?
Per KDKA, local news station, Thunderbolt should start testing "real soon." I would think it should be open by July.

Christ how do you kids do it
