We arrived at PKI from Columbus at about 9:15. For the first time ever I got in the front row! We entered the park in awe at the vision of Son of Beast but decided to pass it up for the time being.
We headed over to The Beast and waited behind the yellow rope until the security guard let us through. Then we all stampeded over to the good ol' Beast. We waited about five minutes total and got in the front car. This was by far the best ride Beast had ever gave me. Incredible!
We decided to hop right back in the line. This time we waited 10 minutes and sat toward the middlish-back. The ride was still great.
We went over to Vortex, but it seemed to be running slower so we headed for "that one alien ride". The Outer Limits line was only twenty minutes so it was really worth it. We only had to wait three cars for the front so we took that. I kept my head out of the restaints (after the launch) and there was no head-banging.
Now it was time for Son of Beast. One guy said the line was three hours, the other said it was two. We ended up waiting about 3:15. They were only running one train which dissapointed me alittle, but I guess its better than not running it at all. The line was a lot more entertaining than the Millennium Force line. Last year that had a box that shook and made noise to advertise the ride, they opened it up and put the logo inside. The ride closed down briefly while we were in line. But, it wasnt that bad. We counted six minute intervals between the release of the train to its next run. The other two trains were on the transfer track being worked on by two people.

The restraints were a lot better than shoulder harnesses and really helped the ride out a lot. As you leave the station you take a drop and go through a turn before hitting the lift hill. Wow. Does anybody know if SOB will ever run with three trains?
Oh yeah are there shoulder harnesses on sOB? I don't think they are a neccessity, but are there?
Nope no shoulder harnesses. :-) A lap bar is all it really needs.

I was sooo angry, because I went to PKI on 5/31 and SOB got stuck early in the morning, so they shut it down the rest of the day! I was so excited about it, too. : P
