515 foot coaster?

I was at Cedar Point last Saturday (June 14). And talking with a Ride Operator (while they were fixing Top Thrill Dragster), he stated that there is a plan to build a 515 foot traditional coaster. I imagine that Intamin is building that one also. He said that it would be cable lifted like Millennium Force. I think this would be an amazingly long ride to dissipate all that energy. I hope and think it will happen. What do you guys think?
I think you need to cut back on the Lemon Chills (tm). ;)

What do I Listen-To?

I think that coaster has about as much possibility of being built as this thread does of staying open.

Which is to say, none.

Top Thrill Dragster -- The most intense, unbelievable, and spectacular fifteen seconds on any coaster, anywhere, ever.

I think Millenium Force nor Top Thrill Dragster utilize enough track to dissipate all that energy. Why would this "traditional" coaster do that?

I'm not an enthusiast. I just play one on message boards.

I heard from the uncle of the brother of the dog of the mayor of crap city that Cedar Point is going to connect all their roller coasters into one big coaster.

UMMMMM....that coaster is a definate posibility. Coasters now have the technology to push higher and higher. The only thing limiting how tall a coaster can go is:

A)The human body-They can design a coaster today that can easily reach 515ft. Especially with the computer modeling programs designers have today. They need to manage the elements of this coaster so that the human body can ride comfortably.

B)land-You need a lot of area to dissipate all the energy that this coaster will build when it goes up the lift "mountain". This should make a much longer, faster, and more exciting ride due to the simple laws of physics and dynamics.

I am a mechanical engineer that has done extensive research and calcuations on this topic. This coaster is DEFINATELY possible and I will be there as soon as it opens.

You forgot

3) COST

Sheesh.
