5 park, 8 day coaster trip. Part one.

We flew out of Baltimore to Cincinnati Saturday morning, and had a plan. Straight to Kentucky Kingdom. We got there around noon. Right to Lightning Run. 3 laps. Great ride. Hope more parks bite. Great intensity.

Next up was Thunder Run. Thought it would be rough and was pleasantly surprised. Good pacing and a decent middle of the pack ride. Need to fix that it can run two trains.

Rollerskater. Not much to to report there. The show in the theater with the Rock was cool. Unexpected.

Storm Chaser is amazing. So far my favorite coaster on the trip. 5 laps of amazement. Great ride. It edges twisted timbers by a little.

I am happy that Six Flags isn't in control of the park. Their operations need some help with a sense of urgency. Lol. At least it light crowds so it was ok.

I've read bad trip reports in the past(mostly six flags control,) and was pleasantly surprised by the fun we had.

I think we are fortunate that KK closed down. With it being closed for a few years, it forced them to basically repaint just about everything. It almost looks brand new. The 2 coasters that opened since are absolutely fantastic. More people need to go to this park. I really enjoy it there.
