4th of July weekend in the Midwest suggestions.

July 4th at Michigan's Adventure is usually dead after 5pm. The only knock about this park...and its been stated in every trip report...if its hot you will suffer. There are a lack of trees.

As for CP...I would stay away from that place from 7/4-7/11. For those of us that are left in the auto industry: the plants, tech centers, and proving facilities typically close this week for the plant change-overs. It seems like everyone in the world is in Sandusky during this time. However, if you must torture yourself...I would try Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday (you might find me strolling the midways on one of those days).

Well since the soon to be wife cant get off the 3rd or 4th, we decided now to hit a park the 7th-8th-9th. Talk about frustration though, I have tried contacting kings island through there webiste and over the phone to see if they offer a starlight admission like cedar point, well all i got back from the website through email was thanks for your question a park rep will get back to you, its been over a week, I tried to call and got hung up on. Called back then was put on hold for 10 minutes then hung up on. WOW. So does anyone know if they have a starlight admission light cedar point?
I have pretty much narrowed it down to either Holiday world, Kings Island, Cedar Point, and Six Flags. I have found out that Cedar point hotels are pretty much wide open where the light house point is nearly booked, the hotels around holiday world and lake rudolph with limited availabilty. No issues with hotels around Great America, and Kings Island is hotels are filling up quick for the Spirit concert starting the 9th.

I do apperciate all the imput people have given, Sticker park looks, well like a one trick poney park.

I dont believe KI has a starlight pass.

Buy your KI tickets online for only $33.99 each, which would be only about $4 more than CP charges for their starlight ticket. When it comes to how much you are already spending to visit the park, an extra $4 really isn't that much.

You can probably find a discount ticket somewhere else for $29.99, which would probably be the same price as a Starlight ticket, if they offered it.

I just googled it and you can get Kings Island one day admission tickets for $23 from the L&N Federal Credit Union website. I would have to say that is a really good deal!
