4th of JUly

Does anyone know how crowded parks generally are on the 4th of July? I live in Illinois and am planning a trip to GAm this year on the 4th. I've heard the park is usually empty this day. Is that true?
I've gone to SFGAm a few times on the Fourth. Twice it was dead, but the last time (a couple years ago) it was packed, there was even a line for Shockwave!

Chitowns 6 year old daughter says "Daddy, Dippin Dots are nasty!!" I must say that I agree!!
They'll be packed with locals.
I'm taking off Thursday and Friday for a long weekend.
Thursday is the day you wanna hit the parks. Everyone will be hung over from the 4th.

Lucky for me, I'm going to Discovery Cove in Orlando where they limit the guests to 1000 people. Then I'll drive over to BGT on the 5th, then back to Sea World.

It probably depends what country the park you plan on going to is in...

PKI is going to be packed this year. They have a Fire in the Sky fireworks promotion where they are loading a couple of places full of fireworks, and shooting a 10 minute display. Rozzies of course are working it. Best in the fireworks business!

At Marine World i Waited 2 HOURS To Get Out Of The Park
Valleyfair is expecting crowds of 23,000 to 25,000 depending on weather.
Your best bet would probably be big crowds, though not so large as they would be if the 4th was on a Friday-Saturday-Sunday. A lot of locals will be there certainly with the day off work for many businesses, and generally the crowds do not die off as much in the evening because many people will stay for the park's fireworks.

Any place with fireworks will be crowded on the forth.
If it is a major park like CP,in a very high populated area,or has fireworks it will be packed. If it isn't very big it probably won't be crowded.
