400' tall zip line coming to Las Vegas

This is crazy! I wouldn't be surprised if there are already higher ones somewhere in the world. Apparently you zip down the line, from the higher building to lower. Then, when you get to the smaller building, you are launched backwards up to the higher building!? I don't get how that will work, but sounds fun. And terrifying.

Meh, that's not "over the strip." That's where all of the off-strip hipsters who used to think MTV was cool go.

Like this one.

South Africa has some cool "heights" attractions.

I suspect whatever you're attached to will have a cable that's attached to some kind of a winch. It'll reel out as you ride down the line, and then the winch would kick in to pull you back up.

I'm not going to make it to South Africa but you can get a tast of that "Extreme 19" at the City of Gatlinburg Municipal Golf Course in Pigeon Forge, just down the road from Dollywood. They have a par 3 that is a 200' drop, tee to green. Half of the fun is coming down the switch back cart path on your golf cart. There are lots of interesting holes on that course but that par 3 is the money shot.

"the Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino plans to roll out the VooDoo Skyline this summer"

How long until this is renamed the Possessed Skyline?

Well dag Jeff, you're such a strip snob :-). For a while I thought that area over by Palms would pick up......nah. Granted, Maloof is not hurting for money, but the *new* strip is still where it's at!

I've stayed at the Rio. It's really nice. Close enough to the strip for me.

I'm a five-diamond snob. And I like the area from the Wynn to City Center (maybe Monte Carlo, now that Blue Man Group lives there).

I'll feel a LOT better about the name Maloof once the Kings are officially under new ownership.
