3ds Max trouble

Alright, heres the sitch...

I'm using 3d Studio Max 6, and I made an object for my upcoming model of Adventure Express. I applied textures to the object and exported it into the objects folder of NoLimits. I moved the textures to the folder, and when I opened the simulator I found that all the textures were stretched out so horribly bad it would not do. So I re-sized the textures, and added a bit to them to compensate for the size I was trying to fit. Then In 3ds max I re-applied the new textures, and when I open the simulator I only have one texture on one of the pieces. The other textures won't come open at all. I've tried several different things, like re-making several different times. Can anyone help me out?

EDIT: Max does mention that it changed one file name, and I re-named that file in the objects folder. This is the only file that worked. Max didn't mention any other re-namings.

Chances are you're going to have to apply texture coordinates to the objects in order for NoLimits to render the textures correctly. To do this, select the object, then go to Modifiers -> UV Coordinates -> UVW Map. In the parameters roll out on the right you'll have tools and options available to position the projection map over the object. Read the manual if you have any specific questions about these options.

As for the renaming issue, the 3DS codec in 3D Studio Max only supports 8.3 filenames. That is a standard DOS filename with 8 characters dot 3 characters (abcdefgh.3ds). Rename your texture files before you apply them and you will avoid Max making your file associations invalid.

As always make certain that your 3DS files and texture files are within the Objects directory. NoLimits supports JPG, BMP, PNG and TGA filetypes.
