3 Days in Orlando, Day 1

Associated parks:
None

My Uncle and 2 cousin's took me along to Orlando for the 7/2-7/5. We stayed in the Grand Floridian and visited 4 parks- Magic Kingdom, Disney's MGM Studios, Typhoon Lagoon, and Islands of Adventure. Along the way we also hit Downtown Disney. My thoughts/reviews of day one:

Day One- MGM/Typhoon Lagoon

MGM is a nice park with decent themes and some good rides. It was small and lacked a water ride and shade. We only rode three rides- Rockin' Roller Coaster, Tower of Terror, and Star Tours.

Rockin' Roller Coaster- The sound effects make this ride! I have been on Flight of Fear, but I have to say this was a lot more fun and the trains were amazing. It had some nice stong Gs, which made up for the weak launch, and the twisted layout was very fun. The cork on it rivals that of Flight of Fear and headbanging is minimal. While the train rattles, there is zero pain. Nice ride, one of my favorite Vekoma's. 8/10

Tower of Terror- Amazing! I havn't been on Tower of Terror 1-3, but from what I hear 4 is much better. The randomness made this drop rides one of the most scary. On my first ride, right at the very end it broke down and we had to walk off (it was amazing to get an upclose look at those cars) and they let us ride again. Having two back to back rides on it was great, the airtime was great, and the randomness make this one of the best Disney attractions. 8.5/10

At this point in the day we were very tired having gotten little to no sleep on our night flight from LAX to Orlando, so we headed back to the hotel. The Grand Floridian was nice, but it smelled funny all the time and there are nicer hotels out there. We'd probably stay here again if we were in Orlando. After the sleep, we wanted to get in a wave pool, so we called up information to find out whether to hit Blizzard Beach or Typhoon Lagoon. They said Typhoon had a much better wave pool, but not as great slides. Who cares, they had the better wave pool!

Typhoon Lagoon

The park wasn't crowded at all and I have never seen such amazingly huge waves in a wave pool. It was impossible to stay above water! Why aren't all wave pools this good? Slides at the park were focused toward a young crowd it seemed, but they were still fun. Hit Shark Reef if you visit, swimming with a school of fish is great fun. We just stuck in the wave pool pretty much until the park closed. GO TO THIS WAVE POOL! Park- 9/10

I got back last night and am too tired to write day 2 and 3 so I will do it tomorrow.
