28 rides on Nitro. When?

In another thread SFgadvMAN mentioned riding the Nitro 28 times in one day. At what time of the year is SFGAdv normally so empty that such a feat is possible? My luck in finding such days hasn't been good. However, at BGW it's easy to do 28 rides on Apollo's Chariot during weekdays in May.
It was in April on a Monday. Early in the season when I went it was always a 1-2 train wait. It was also a little rainy I think. Also I was a single rider and they were lettting me fill the extra empty seats.

On the B&M hypers, it's not that hard to marathon. Those things gobble lines up like there's not tomorrow. On RB on a Fri. in early July, the wait peaked at 20 minutes the whole day (which is 3 per hr, which is minimum 30 in a day) and on Sat. the wait peaked at 40 (which is at least 15 in a day).

A rollercoaster? What's that?

You could easily do Nitro 28 times in a day before Memorial Day. I've done 14 rides on Nitro in about 2-3 hours without even rushing between rides. On that day, if that was all I wanted to ride, it could have easily been 50.

I've been fortunate enough to nail 35 rides on that sucker in one day, although, admittedly, most of them (23 to be exact) came at the beginning of an especially slow day where I rerode consecutively without disembarking (though I did move between seats). That way I accomplished 23 in just under two hours, and with more rides during the day (and no, Nitro WASN'T the only ride I hit) I ended up with a grand total of 35 and a round of applause from an impressed and psyched station on my final go-round for the day.

That, my friends, is a good day. :)

If we hadn't wanted to do anything else (and we did), we could've goten a BUNCH on Columbus Day last year, the Monday after PPPPP.....but there's a great steel collection at SFGAdv, and even though I have YET to get BBT, it's always worth one trip on RT just for a laugh...(since the ride IS "laughably bad", an East Coast, O-n-B version of Psyclone)....and we were only there about 5 hours....

gatror - Another laughably bad woodie? I'll have to put that one "on the books" for next year!

chris - Always looking for a good laugh. :)

We were at SFGAd on April 1st and 2nd, and got about 10 to 12 rides on each of those days (5 of those without moving from our seat!).

We could have easily gotten 30-40 rides either of those days.

So many coasters, so little vacation time....

If you go in the erlie season late March opening week, or April or even some times in may, it can be empty ,where there is no wait time over 5mins for all rides, or a if its just a really cold day in that time say 50degs with wind chills that make it feel colder, and a chance of rain, there will be under 200 cars easily.... At that point if you can stand the cold, and frost bite then it can be done
