2017 TEA/AECOM report is out

Don't consider this scientific, but asking around, the numbers are almost all low with the exception of the US Disney numbers, which a friend suggests are pretty close.

Wow, the Seaworld Parks plummeted! I suspect it will be up this year though. I heart Seaworld!

I'm not sure why so many folks pay attention to this annual report. It's all self reported or derived from non-official sources. Cracks me up every year when it is released.

They get a ton of press out of it, which undoubtedly sells consulting services. The thing is, if I can casually hear real numbers (maybe because I won't tell anyone), you'd think others could. I'm not that connected these days.

The only park I know the actual numbers for has been grossly overestimated in this report. I’m talking roughly 25% higher in the report versus actual. Even the year to year trends, flat YOY, up, down, haven’t been correct in recent years. Again just for the one park I do know the actual numbers.
