Why isn't Nitro on there? This poll is RIGGED.

Oh, and lol to Cedar Point being a contender for "best theme." Best at NOT themeing, maybe. :)

Joe, always a smart-ass

Crikey, Great America and it's coasters are in many of the nominations. Coinkidenk? I am in concurrence with Joe's comments!
As am I! And I can assure you I have no bias whatsoever, particularly if you consider my choice of screen name!
It's simply a popularity contest. Nitro may be a good coaster, but it's not the best. Cedar Point has a lot of crappy food, but it won over Islands of Adventure last year...

Yeah, I'm still scratching me head over that one.

Now that we're passed the nomination process, it's a really good idea to vote so at the very least you can say that you voiced your opinion and the results still suck.

LOL Jeff. You mean this poll won't please everyone? ;)
Who cares about everyone? It doesn't please ME, and that's all that matters here, really.

btw mr. OOSH, where is my Cali itin, hmm?

Joe

I find it interesting that only two entries in the entire poll are for items outside the United States. That says more about the demographic of the poll than anything else...

Joe - I've been busy travelling...it's coming soon, I promise!
May I also ask how Phoenix didn't make best woodie? It is definately ONE OF the best, and IMO deserves to be up there....
Richard,

It definitely does say something about the poll - the US OWNS EVERYONE!!!1!1!!

Joe, totally serious

I didn't even realize there were coasters outside the US until I saw Balder on the ballot. Who knew? ;)
Of course the poll is biased -- it IS a straightforward popularity contest, after all. That doesn't mean I'll agree with it (I already don't -- where's Tremors on the "Best Wooden Coaster" list? ;) ), but that's how it goes.

--Greg, who really can't say much since he forgot to nominate anything in the first place, so now it's vote from what's there...

Yes, I'm sure a lot of people didn't nominate anything in the first place.
My question is,

How did Steel Venom get nominated for ANYTHING??! Valleyfair~ is my home park, and I must say that the coaster is not great... It could have been called Steel Molasses, because it's as slow as that compared to the other rides that preceded it (S:UE, V2)

Oh well. As they say, 90% of statistics lie, otherwise Rep. Markey wouldn't have a job...

Skunky

What? I rode Steel Venom last year as well and thought it was exactly the same as V2 SFGAm and SUE SFWoA. In fact I thought it went a little higher than V2 went on the back spike. I rode in late July, FYI.

And, like GregLeg, I forgot to nominate this year, too. I think the webmaster should have made the nominations more noticeable, I never saw anything about it! :P

Joe "oops" C.

I participated in the nominations...how else do you think SFMM and any of it's rides ended up on the ballot? ;)

I was thinking the same thing...

Tremors just doesn't get enough RIDERSHIP....wonder if that has something to do with its "prime" location?

It certainly ROCKED my world unlike any wooden coaster preceding it...of course, the *company* at CAC didn't hurt my opinion any...:)

For that matter, PNE's Coaster, even the day after...still rated VERY high....what the PNW lacks in quantity, LOL...and then there was Timberhawk...;)

gator, nominated himself for best poster...;)
