2003 SF Passes Question

Has anyone renewed their season pass online? The site says you can keep your old ID, and don't have to process it, which would be cool. But I was wondering if my SFNE pass would be valid at SFGAdv before I go to SFNE?

In the past, you had to process it at your home park first before you could go Six-Flags hopping, but Great Adventure opens before SFNE this year and i wanted to go there first, but i don't want to drive all the way down there and then have to pay to get in.

And yes, i've searched all over the new piece-of-garbage SF site for an explanation, but all i can find is corporate mumbo-jumbo, so i was wondering if anyone on here had actually done it yet.

Thanks.

Once you receive your holographic sticker, you are all set. No processing at your home park is needed...just put the sticker on and you're "good to go"....

I already used my 2003-hologram-enabled SFWoA pass at SFMM. (Of course, the 2002 pass probably would have worked there without the sticker, until SFWoA opens in May)

Yep, they spent their money wisely on that one!

Are SF passes photo IDs or is that sticker that's referred to above all? I want to get a SF pass for this year (planning a lot of park-hopping) and if I don't have to drive out to SFWoA it would definitely save some gas money for CA ;)

Obiously you have to have a 2002 pass already. But you can renew online, and recieve your sticker to place on your 2002 Pass, then is valid for the 2003 season. BUT, in order to get your coupon book and calender, you must go wait in the processing line. So basically all that this system is good for, is people that have purchased their pass at a different SF, and don't want to have to drive that long distance.

Also, if you get the sticker, you wont get a new type of ID. Ok, it's stupid, but the small things make me happy.........and my picture sucked.

Pittdesigner, the SF passes do have your picture on them. If you don't already have a season pass from 2002, you can't "renew" it online, you'll have to go to the park to get the picture. The renewal sticker is for those of us who had a pass last year to place on said pass, to save a trip to the park.

Judgement Day,

Boy your first two posts here on CoasterBuzz are crap-tacular...

Aren't you the pot calling the kettle black? In two posts, I counted four misspellings. It seems you don't do "anything right", either...

ADDITIONAL QUESTION:

How long has it taken you guys to receive your stickers once you've renewed them online?

John -- it took about a month, but I'd ordered my renewal before they were sending them out at all.

PittDesigner -- sorry, no idea. I'm in Pittsburgh, Kennywood is my home park. I tend to think of SFWoA as "the stop down the road from CP", the place I get my SF pass for access to the rest of the chain...

Does anyone know when they are starting the pre-season processing? On the SFWoA page it says check back after the holidays and that pre-season processing will begin in March. Well it is March and there is still no information.
GregLeg - Yea, thats me too, I live in Oakland, but I got a free plane ticket and I wanna go out to CA and figured a $60 WoA pass is a lot better place to get it than the $90 MM pass. Doubt I'll use it at WoA more than once or twice ...

I think my question was along the lines of NoLimitChic's ... I wanna go out there and get it all done in one day and don't wanna get out there and be turned away cause they're closed. Oh well, guess I have to be *gasp* patient! ;)

I've got a question regarding SFA passes if purchased outside the park.

Since I didn't have time to take advantage of the sale prices that the park is offering I have to purchase my pass through Safeway this year if I want to get a reduced price, now my question on that is can you buy a pass at that location if you don't have a Safeway bonus club membership?

Sure I've got a Giant food bonus card but they only carry PKD passes & not SFA ones,so has anyone bought an SFA pass through Safeway without being a bonus club member?
