I didn't realize there were that many parks you hadn't been to yet. :) What are you going to do when you've ridden EVERY roller coaster? ;)

I went to Alton Towers, it rained lots and all the rides were shut.

That sums up my coaster year :/

I went to Cedar Point three times, PKI once and Holiday World once. That was more than enough heat and crowds for one year.

Although I'm not done yet... I plan to hit at least Speed: the Ride and (crosses fingers) X-Scream next month in Vegas.

A day is a drop of water in the ocean of eternity. A week is seven drops.

Bearing in mind I live in a Ireland, where we have no permanent amusement parks anywhere near me and the remainder not worth visiting. This summer I made it to:

UK: Thorpe Park (1)

USA: Bells, Busch Gardens Williamsburg, Cedar Point (*2), Frontier City, Holiday World (*2), Indiana Beach (*2), Michigan's Adventure, Paramount's Carowinds, Paramount's Kings Dominion, Paramount's Kings Island (*2), Six Flags Astroworld, Six Flags Fiesta Texas, Six Flags Kentucky Kingdom, Six Flags Over Texas, Six Flags St Louis, Six Flags Worlds of Adventure, Worlds of Fun, and Wyandot Lake. (18)

Spain: Parque de Attraciones, Port Aventura, Terra Mitica, Tibidabo, and Warner Brothers Movie World. (5). I also visited a travelling fair in Albacete, with the Reverchon gliding coaster.

That takes the tally for the year to twenty four different amusement parks. Jaysus, I had no idea it was so many...

In terms of credits, I've gained about 110 new ones this year taking me to 225. Here's to next year...!

Regards,
Richard

So far in 2003 I have visited: Holiday World (new to me) in May, Lake Winnie (new) in June, SFStL (hadn't been there in about 20 years!) in July, Dollywood (hadn't been there in about 10 years) in August, CP (new) and SFWOA (new) in August, and Visionland (new) in October.

I still have 2 parks to visit before my season is over...SFKK (last visited in 2000) this weekend and PKI (last visited in '96) next weekend so that will be a total of 9 parks. This has been my most active season ever, and I'm loving it! If all goes as planned for the next 2 weekends, I will cross over the 100th coaster mark.

March: DCA

April: SFOG

May: HW, SFOG

June: CP, PKI, SFKK, VisionLand

July: Myrtle Beach Pavillion, SFWOA

August: VisionLand, SFOG, SFOT, Camp Snoopy

New Parks this year were Knott's, Belmont, DCA, PKI, Myrtle Beach Pavillion, SFWOA, SFOT, Camp Snoopy, and the Florida Parks.

Lucky for me, I travel a lot with my job, so I get to hit a lot of places I ordinarily would never be able to go.

My list consists of

Kennywood

...and that is it due to the fact that I got a job there in July and didn't have much time to go anywhere else.

Wow, I thought I had a busy season but it looks SMALL in comparison!

April- SFMM, KBF

May- SFDL

June- CP, SFWoA, PKI, SFDL

July through September- SFDL about 10 times

October- CP, SFDL

Cedar Point is still the greatest place on Earth in my eyes, we were there last Saturday and really just walked around and had a ball. My wife won't wait in 2+ hr lines, frankly I'm not fond of them either. So we just walked around and saw the sights. It was great.

Parks that have been deferred to next year;

SFA, SFGAdv, SFNE, Universal/IOA, SeaWorld Orlando, BGT, BGW, PKD, MarineLand (Canada) plus the usual suspects of SFDL, CP, and hopefully SFWoA and PKI again... 2004 is looking great already!!

"You think you know me..."

It's been a great year and it's not over yet...two trips to Orlando, TTD and Holiday World! Got #100 (The Beast) last weekend at PKI..

February - Old Town (new), Discovery Cove (I know, I know but still the best day I had at a park this year - new), SWO, BGT (new), USF (new), IoA (new)

April - WDW: MK, AK (new), MGM (new), Epcot (new), USF, IoA. Also, Blizzard Beach and Typhoon Lagoon.

May - SFGAm

June - IB

July - SFGAm, IB

August - HW (new), SFKK (new), SFWoA (new), CP

September - Santa's Village IL

October - PKI
