I just found out I have a business trip coming up in January to Southern California. While there, I was thinking I might try to get over to SFMM to hop a ride on X and Goliath. My question is: will my 2002 SFoG season pass be good at SFMM in January 2003? I'll probably go either way, Just thinking if I could save a little coin, good for me!
I'm also planning on hitting KBF while there - gotta ride Ghostrider and Xcelerator, too!

It probably will NOT be good. I just pulled out my SFMM pass and it states on there it expires 12/31/02.
Aren't all SF passes only good for the season they are issued in?

You should probably just buy a SFMM pass for $53 and use it all year at SFOG as they are almost the same price (if you already plan to buy a SFOG one).
Wow, I had no idea season passes were so cheap at SFMM! I will probably just buy my 2003 pass there and avoid the line in Atlanta...

If memory serves..
You can use your SF pass at any other SF park till May 2003. That's the way it has been in the past because I used my SFWoA at SFMM in Jan a year ago even though the expiration date on the pass was end of Oct.

That's because there is actually a season end for Worlds of Adventure. Magic Mountain is open year-round, weekends on the Southern California "off-season."
So his 2002 SFEG pass will NOT be accepted for admission to Magic Mountain after December 31, 2002, for it will be expired.
The computer system will automatically reject it when scanned at the Season Pass entry area.

Your 2002 pass won't work. I cut this from an earlier post about my experience buying a SFMM pass:
On the same topic...I'm planning a January trip to LA and checked out season pass prices at SFMM. If you live within 300 miles of the park and had a pass last year, you can renew for $52.99 through February 23. Fabulous deal. Now, I don't live within 300 miles of the park so I called the season pass phone number and was told that I could purchase a pass at that price over the phone. I'll activate the pass at the park in January and it's good for the whole year. The only catch is that if you lose the pass you can only get a replacement at MM. But if you're generally responsible with your cards...this deal is worth the risk (considering that one day's admission is $44.99).
