Heres News From A Local News Station:
WALDAMEER NEW COASTER ON DELAY
HOPES FOR A NEW ROLLER COASTER AT WALDAMEER PARK COULD BE DASHED FOR ANOTHER YEAR. THE PLANS ARE READY BUT, APPARENTLY, ENVIROMENTAL CONCERNS ARE A MAJOR PROBLEM. PLANS ARE FOR THE NEW COASTER TO CROSS PENNINSULA DRIVE. BUT THERE'S A SNAG IN THE PLAN THOUGH. THE ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION AGENCY HAS PUT IT ON HOLD BECOAUS OF CONCERNS ABOUT EROSION. AT THIS POINT IT LOOKS LIKE ROLLER COASTER RIDERS WILL HAVE TO SETTLE FOR THE EXISTING COASTER NEXT YEAR. THE GOOD NEWS IS.. PARK OFFICIALS ARE PLANNING TO ADD ANOTHER NEW RIDE FOR NEXT SEASON. SO NEXT YEAR, ONE WAY OR ANOTHER WALDAMEER WILL BE BIGGER, BUT THEY JUST HAVEN'T DECIDED HOW.

I was told that the coaster was on hold for some 15 years (correct me if I'm wrong!), but if the location is where I think it is, it is going to be stunning. New attraction? That means that I might just have to spend more than 9 hours there next year... and not wait until 2008!
