2001, What are you doing?

After the past season's greatness in the industry... What parks do you plan to attend next year? What are your dreams or goals for 2001? What trip have you always wanted to make, realistically, and are going to "give it a go" this season? Add some reasons why, too, because it may change some people's minds for planning out their summer.

I am dying to hear people's plans...

Thanks for the effort!

There's nothing like a woodie...
Well, I plan to finish off the costers at CP, go to PKI as usual, go to Americana (for the first time, even though I live so damn close to it), go to Holiday World, a nice trip up to SFO (which I surely will enjoy), and maybe a trip down to florida for BGT and IOA.
I plan to hit all the coasters at CP, go to Michigan's Adventure, mabey SFO. And Im going to CP every open month next year!!:)

Magnum-Just Ride It!!!
My plans for 2001:

1) We are making another round in PA. We will hit Knoebel's, Hershey and Kennywood in 3 consecutive days. We missed Knoebel's last year, but Twister and Phoenix will be ridden next year. Kennywood, is flat out, the most traditional park that we have in the East. It's beautiful.

2) The usual Ohio tour. CP, SFO, & PKI. Just to ride the new ones at SFO and of course, Sonny. We boycotted last year, because of the problems, but my best friend told me I was a fool. He loved Sonny.

3) We are making a new trip to Holiday World in Indiana to ride Raven and The Legend. Then going to St. Louis for SF. I have never ridden The Boss. After seeing pictures of it, we instantly made plans. Plus, we are planning around the Indians playing in St. Louis (Busch Stadium) in July.

Can you guys and gals give me any tips to places that we should try along the way, too?

Thanks.

Hey, Everdred, How is Americana? I've heard some good things about it. Where, exactly is it located and is it worth the trip?

"Conjoined Twin Mislexia Week"
Will do DANIA HURRICANE in the next week... then just bide time at the Florida Parks till the other parks re-open.

Will go to Disneyland and Disney's California Adventure in February, naturally...

Next Spring I intend to hit the four Six Flags flagship parks I've missed this year (Elitch, Astroworld, Fiesta Texas & SF Over Texas)...

In addition I WILL make it to Michigan's Adventures,Mall of America, Worlds of Fun, Adventureland, Valleyfair, Carowinds, Myrtle Beach and any other major US park I missed in 2000.

I also intend a LOT of repeat trips... as many as I can get in to old fav's like Kennywood, CP, and the like.

And, if all goes well, my company will be sending me to London in April, so I will try to hit the British & French parks that are open.

Ooh la la! Can't wait till the Season begins...

Well, for sure all the Southern California parks, including DCA. As for a trip, Texas looks good. For sure all 3 six flags, (Astro, SFOT, Fiesta) I have not yet decided which small parks to do. Is Sea World worth it? Maybe Frontier City Oklahoma? Any suggestions for that area, lemme know!

Revolutionary, what are you waiting for? Get to KBF for the GhostRider. The only day that they are closed is Christmas.

So you want a coaster in your backyard? I hope you have a big backyard. *** This post was edited by Soggy on 10/23/2000. ***
Other than getting my Intamin hyper fix(I live in California), next year will be a slow year for me. California Adventure will be my first venture of 2001, followed by KBF, SFMM and SFOT. From there I'll play it by ear. Thank goodness SFMM is adding another coaster next year!

Best wood:
1)The Legend
Well, next summer is my senior trip. And I've just came back from stage 1 of it when I headed up to Mall of America for a day and did a helluva lot of shopping and log fluming.

My plans are pretty much set in stone as per the Coaster Tours at my site, First spend 3 days hitting Chicago. Site seeing, SFGam, and a game at Wrigley.

Then a day on the road followed by three-four hopefully glorious days at Cedar Point (We're staying at Breakers Express)

After that its a two day stay in Cleveland to catch a game at Jacob's Field, and then hit SFO. And lastly we'll be making a run down to PKI. Depending on our financial situation we may hit Worlds of Fun, and I'll definetly make at least one trip to Valleyfair!.

Aside from Wrigley and Valleyfair! everything will be a first for me.

FloridaFlyer: Its good to see you hitting my home parks.

You build it, I'll ride it
I will probably be visiting Virginia again next year so I really want to visit either BGW or PKD. I'm steering way clear of SFA next year. SFMM, DCA, KBF, are all on the list for next year of course.
I really want to head to some smaller parks that I have never been to...Holiday World to ride Raven and Legend... Michigan Adventure to ride Shivering Timbers...Darien Lake to ride Superman. Of course CP and PKI will be on the bill as always.

Phantom of the Opera?
NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Phantom's Revenge
Oh I knew that!
Next year I will, of course, be attending Paramount's Kings Island. It is my home park and I usually go quite often, but next year I will more than likely go more than I have in one season before. Other than that I have two tentative plans:

1.) Head from my home south to Louisville, KY for a day at Kentucky Kingdom. From there head east to Washington D.C. (though this is mostly for the non-riders in the family). Next off to Williamsburg, VA for a couple days at Busch Gardens. Then back west to Doswell, VA to get in some time at Paramount's Kings Dominion, which my Paramount pass will come in nice at.

2.) Head north from my house to Sandusky, OH for several days at Cedar Point. Then head east to Six Flags Ohio for a day (mainly because I want to ride a floorless). Then back home, possibly going to Kentucky Kingdom sometime in the year.

These are the two possibilities that I have come up with so far. Who knows how these will change by the time I leave to go on them.
