The coaster that defeated it was Batman Knight Flight. The loop is 140 feet tall, the largest in the world.

Anyway, to the 200 foot loop "thing," if a coaster were to have a 200 foot loop, the drop of the coaster would have to be 275 feet +.

With any luck, this Vekoma creation will use their new harnesses.

On the topic of a 200 foot loop, yes it could be done; but why?

To end the Krypton Coaster height debate here is the official press release from Six Flags as reported on Rollercoaster Database.
http://www.rcdb.com/document35.htm The answer for those who wish not to link to it is 114 feet!

Just a couple of G-force junkies!
Actually, Intamin is experimenting with a new updated impulse shuttle with a 220' loop (Montezumas Revenge Update). Specs are 85 MPH with 250' vertical spikes at each end. Uses box track and MF cars.

What's next at Knott's? Anyone know?
That 200ft loop may not be accurate. I find it difficult to believe that Vekoma's technology has come that far, and it would be painful.

They have had a thing in the past of over-estimating the height of their rides.

SFMM went from Amusment Park to Xtreme Park. They skipped Theme park :)
200+ ft. loops would be awesome...and with all that open space within it, you could have other parts of the coaster travel through it. Imagine an interlocking corkscrew or a zero-g roll traveling through the loop ! Even better, have it after the blocking brakes, so that when 2 or 3 trains are running, they can time it so both trains are in sync.

The only problem I can see with a loop that big is the potential for rollbacks. It's gonna have to have some serious speed (nothing wrong with that !).
