2 more Alpine Coasters in the US for 2006!

I am glad to see this trend catching on more here in the US. Glenwood Springs Ski Resort got the first US installation of an Alpine Coaster (not to be confused with the Alpine Slide) back in 2005.

Now, we have 2 more that will be opening in the Spring of 2006.

The first one on the east coaster will be located at Jiminy Peak Mountain Resort in Hancock, MA.

Here is an article on this one:

This will be a nice addition to the parks other wild attractions:

The other Alpine Coaster will be at Park City Mountain Resort in Utah.

For those unfamiliar with exactly what an Alpine Coaster is, I have provided several of my favorite links showing some European models.

This link has a video link at the bottom of the page:

The next 2 links are kinda long so I do not know if they will interpret correctly when I paste them. I can't seem to find the option to use html on CBuzz.

Anyway, they are worth checking out with some spectacular photos:

My friend showed me a video of one. They look like a lot of fun.
I'm glad to see more of these popping up. The one at Glenwood Springs was fun. It isn't overly thrilling, but since you can control your speed you can create some intense laterals since many turns are underbanked.

Yeah is Good!
