2 Day trip to Cedar Point (long)

Associated parks:
None

It was my first time ever going to Cedar Point and I loved this park. My trip there was part of a week vacation, I started off my Vacation in my cottage I have in MI from July 27th to July 31. We left MI at 5 in the morning and headed to Ohio to go to Cedar Point. We arrived at the park at about 10:30. Me and my brother went to MF first. I love this ride its awesome. It was so hot in MF's line so we stopped at Roaring Rapids(Thats what its called at SFGAM) I forget what it was called there. I like it alot better thought there since they don't have the rails in front of the waterfalls so you actully get soaked. Our 3rd Ride was Mantis, I liked this ride but I hate the trim brakes on the first drop. We then headed over to Mean Streak. Mean Streak is the worst wooden coaster I have ever ridden, I don't like anything about this coaster and was extremly disappointed. I once again hated the trim brakes on the first drop because they pretty much brought the train to a stop. The next ride I rode was Gemini, this coaster was great, it was better than I expected and it was walk on so I rode it 3 times. It felt really smooth after rideing Mean Streak. I rode Magnum XL200 next its a awesome ride I rode this twice because it only had about a 10 min. wait. I thought this ride would be better than Raging Bull with all the hype this ride has had in years but I still would rather ride Raging Bull over magnum. The next ride I went on was corkscrew it was walk on. This ride is very similar to the demon except not as bumpy so there was nothing really new on this ride. I rode Iron Dragon after that, I liked the second half off this ride because of the speed and how much you swing its great. After riding that I headed to the front of the park and rode the Demon Drop I thought it was a good ride. They used to have a similar at Great America called the edge I was told, before it was owned by Six Flags and the brakes failed so I was a bit nervous before I got onto this ride knowing its history. I then went on Disaster Transport which I had no clue what in the world it was. I was happy to find out though it was a bobsled coaster, I enjoyed this coaster, it reminded me of the old Rolling Thunder at Great America. It was cool to ride one of these kinds of coasters again. I then went over to raptor which was walk on, Awesome ride, I think its the 2nd best coaster they have in the park. I went over to Soak City for awhile to cool off. When I came back it was around 7p.m. I went on Mean Streak again since it was walk on. I went on Gemini a couple more times which was still walk on. Then I went on the Cedar Creek Mine Ride, me ,my brother and my dad were the only people on the train this ride was empty. It was pretty cool having the being the only people on the ride. We then went back and rode MF again, then went up to the front of the park and rode Blue Streak and Raptor to end the night. I had a Great Day and the Second day was just as good. We started off the second day with Magnum XL200 we rode it front car, this ride is the best front car I think since you get so much airtime. We rode some of the smaller ground rides, and I saw some people working around Chaos which was closed because of the crash at Michigans Adventure. I don't know what they were doing though. We rode all the coasters about twice though the second day. Both days were great with the longest likes being 2 hours for MF. I like this park alot but after going there it makes me realize how under rated Six Flags Great America is. I plan to visit again next year hopefully they have some more great coaster(s).
