1st to ride a new coaster?

Have any of you been the first train and/or rider to ride a new coaster when it opened to the GP?

Not to the GP, but in '96 I was among the employees at Cedar Point that got to ride Mantis before opening day. Granted, we got stuck on the block break and we sat there for nearly 1/2 hour, and everyone but the first 3 rows (I was in the second row) was walked off, and we didn't think we were going to make it through the corkscrew after releasing, but hey! Still fun, and the best getting stuck on a coaster I've ever had.

I haven't been the first of the GP on anything yet, but I did ride Kraken during the employee preview party last year, which was 1 day before season passholders, 5 days before ACE, and 12 days before the GP! Not bad for only $50! :-)
