Well, some people mentioned rain, but not the way it should be mentioned: if it's raining, stay in the park. Most people clear out at the first sign of drizzle, but most of the rides stay open unless there's lightning or it's a really horrendous downpour. Some, like Wicked Twister, which are mostly covered, operate in just about any amount of rain. Rain really adds an element of uniqueness to each ride, and gives you something fun to talk about later, not to mention the fact that during and for about an hour after a rainstorm, if you wait more than 10 minutes for anything, it's your own stupid fault. TTD's the only one that definitely shuts down at the slightest hint of rain.
If you manage to hit a low crowds day or a rainy day and get everything, maybe even re-rides in a day or two, keep your hotel reservation and head over to Geauga Lake, it's only about a 90 minute drive, tops. Don't burn yourself out on the Point, as much fun as it sounds ... your memories will be a lot better if you leave yourself wanting a bit more.
