15 New Titan photos posted from the Lone Star State

Posted | Contributed by Lone Star Thrills

We've added 15 new Titan photos today from Six Flags Over Texas. Also we added various photos of work going on around the park. The Shockwave and Flashback are recieving new paint (Shockwave bright green track and questionable support color, while Flashback is coral red track with teal supports). Also the Judge Roy Scream was getting a little attention today as well as the Giant. The Mine Train had a train sitting on top of the first lift, what can this imply?

WOW! Shockwave looks fantastic. Either way, I like the green. Very nice site! After I move south I will be sure to check out SFOT. Texas Giant looks like a better ride than Mean Streak. I realize it is a mirror image, but seems to have a more exciting ending.

I can feel the excitement building in Texas! It will be great to see this park again this year, it's easily the most beautifully built in the Six Flags chain IMO.

ummmmm....Texas Giant is NOT a mirror image of Mean Streak. Their layouts are not even similar. Trust me on this one! Yes, they are more-or-less sister coasters in that they were built within a couple of years of each other by the same manufacturer, but they're far from twins. The milkman fathered one of them because they are nothing alike.

That said, a ride on the Giant is so much more fun than a ride on Mean Streak. I rode both last season. I about slept through Mean Streak's course. The Giant will keep you alive. With our triple-digit dry weather last summer here, though, the Giant was horribly rough at the end of the season. Hopefully it'll be refreshed and ready for me to ride in in March!
First Nitro, then Flashback. Is Miami Vice back in style this season? If they're painting at this park maybe we could see some paintjobs on other coasters that need it like the Mind Eraser at SFA and Rolling Thunder at SFGAdv.
Good-- I am glad it is the hit I have heard it is. AND I am glad it is different. It is just that every video and aerial photo shows a very Mean-Streakish look to it. I did notice the completely different second half of the ride from one of those front seat videos. It will be tough leaving Ohio, but only because of the great parks!!!

Python, Kumba, Space Mountain, Hulk, and Goofy's Barnstormer, here I come! :D
