11 rescued after 3 hours on park ride 5/1/05

Just read this news story about 11 riders rescued down from a ride at Castles N' Coasters.

Wow, I have never seen that happen. Too sad that people won't go back. I wouldn't say it was a freak accident, but things like this shouldn't make the GP stay away from parks.

I am glad no one was hurt.

Anyone know the manufacture of Sky Rider? One year old, that doesn't sound good...;)

"It was fun, but, yeah, it was scary. I just need a cigarette, man." Sounds more like praise than criticism, LOL....;)

Figures I took too long to edit, LOL @ George...er, WITH George...:)

Best quote ever (and I am a non-smoker): "It was fun, but, yeah, it was scary. I just need a cigarette, man."

Parks need to do a better job at letting the stranded people know that there are backup systems in place so they wont be harmed. It sounds like these people thought that they would fall to their deaths at any moment while up there.
