$10 Six Flags admission ticket. HURRY.

Still beats sitting along the highway in Atlanta at 4AM trying to score some free tickets.

Six Flags is so sneaky. I almost feel as if they purposely set up this "server crash." Their number of followers on Twitter have jumped up by nearly 1,000 since this morning. All these people want to get updates of when they can finally buy their $10 ticket online. If you refresh their Twitter page over and over, you can actually see their number of followers go up second by second. Sneaky deeky.

Not sure they did it on purpose, but as far as Twitter promotion, it worked. Like I said, I've seen this posted to forums and blogs all over the place - most unrelated to the industry. I suspect the response was much bigger than they anticipated.

The number of followers for SF on Twitter has doubled (to nearly 4000) since 5pm yesterday evening and is still going up second-by-second with people hoping to get in on it this morning.

Stupid promotion actually got me to break down and create a twitter account. Grr..

^^Haha!!

But as far as the dude's latest tweet, "coffee hasn't kicked in yet..." doesn't this idiot know 'Coffee is for closers!!!'

I want my $10 Magic Mountain tickets now!!!! ;)

Edit to add: would $10 tix get Moosh to MM??

This is Six Flags - it's going to take them 3 hours to realize someone brewed up some Decaf.

^^I'm gonna guess that Six Flags would have to pay Moosh to go back to MM.

^^Well, technically since he lost that bet he agreed to go!

Haha!! But at least it might be Starbucks....official coffee sponsor of Six Flags! (with the ad banners in the office, no doubt, to prove it!), while Cedar Fair would be using 20 year-old Sanka bought for a penny! (and charging employees for it!)

Here in the Cincy area, SFKK is advertising 6 visits for $30. So hey, $5 a pop is not bad either.

^^Since I hate KK and dunno, does that include the water park??

Yeah, but you have to go six times. I don't want to go six times.

Interestingly, the info on the Twitter page makes it look like they're just dropping it (with promises of future twitter offers).

I declare shenanigans.

^^Yeah, looks to be that way. Kind of sucks, but I didn't really want to go before June 30th anyway.

I guess my question is, after it was first announced, did some people successfully get $10 tickets?? If I'm following this right, it was announced at like 3:00 pm, but I didn't find out until 3:50 pm! Then they had their meltdown, and after they tried to get it back up a little after 4:00, I got the tix and had them in my shopping cart, but things melted down when I attempted to check out!

But truthfully the hassle has already exceeded saving $20, at least for me anyway!

It started a little before 1:00 pm. I had the chance to get some tickets (twhirl checks for Twitter updates once per minute) but passed. Next time.

LOL, look at the date of the original post and all the ones after it. This was a great deal last year.
