10 couples getting married on BORG at Carowinds

Chitown - techincally you are a statistic in some way shape or form no matter what you do.

And I am in agreement with Andy & Vater. I hit up SFGAm early on Friday morning for some soothing Batman rides, then it was off to do the wedding stuff and then onto the honeymoon (which was plesently montaƱa rusa free).

Right on, Andy, congrats! I agree, we wanted nothing to do with coasters for our wedding and honeymoon. After the mega-stress of months of wedding planning and house-hunting, lying on a beach in the Carribbean was much more desirable. :)

I actually plan on lying on my wife on a beach in Carribbean! :-0

Oh my.

Regardless, Congrats Andy! Now I see why you've been so busy now that school is out!

My wife and I never looked at getting married on a rollercoaster as geeky. We looked at it as a hobby that both of us enjoy. Something that is different, and that really symbolizes the ups and downs of a marriage and relationship.

Our wedding was pretty much all non enthusiests, and a lot of them thought that it was the coolest wedding that they'd have ever been to.

It does help that the Phoenix was running like a champ. Does that coaster ever give bad rides? I have yet to have one. Much thanks to Dick, and Knoebels for our Rollercoaster wedding.

I'd think that getting married on a Flyer wouldn't go over as well as a standard sit down coaster. We almost got married at SFA instead, and if they had said that Batwing was the ride we wouldn't have complained.

We were originally trying to get Hersheypark to let us get married on the new Storm Runner, and that didn't work out. CP said that we could do it in the park but not on a coaster.

Only 3 parks were interested of the ones we contacted. Those were SFA, Kennywood, and Knoebels. It could have been SROS, Phantoms Revenge, or the Phoenix. We decided on the Phoenix because its a great ride, closer to home, and wouldn't intimidate our guests as much as the others. It was the perfect choice.

And there's no way we're doing a coaster wedding or a coaster honeymoon. There're better rides on a honeymoon that you don't have to wait in line for.

Yeah really! LOL! And you don't even need a Qbot, Freeway, or Fastpass.

Congrats on your engagement Andy!

You sure about not needing a Qbot, Tina?;)

I've actually been more busy trying to find a job. ;) But getting engaged and married certainly does add stress to the pile.

I said "no" to a coaster wedding as well. We're sticking with a church.
I wouldn't get married on one, but my dream proposal would definitely occur on a coaster. I made the mistake of telling my best friend this, and she "proposed" to me with a Pretty, Pretty Princess ring on top of MF when we were at CP a couple of weeks ago. It was rather embarrassing because the people behind us were laughing at us, but now I kind of wish I'd bought the on-ride picture. When will I learn to keep my mouth shut?
