" I used to ride them"

Thats what my mother-in-law says.why used to?why not still?I ride them now and I will ride them when I am 100 years old as long as I can walk up and get on them. Why ride coasters when you are young but not when you get older?

Maybe she felt that she was getting to old for them. In her mind coasters are for the youth. It may also be that she has other things. Maybe at one point she was so occupied with other things that she wasn't able to keep riding. There are many reasons

Maybe she had a bad experience on a coaster (it doesn't seem possible to me, but you never know...) One of my cousins, for example, went on Mind Eraser at SFDL and she absolutely loved it. Then, she went on the Predator, not exactly the smoothest coaster in the world. She happened to sit in the second row of the first car, the bumpiest place on the whole train. It took a looooooong time for me to convince her to get back on another coaster.

I seem to know a lot of older people that used to ride coasters but now get motion sickness because their bodies can't handle the experience.
I seem to know a lot of people who claim that coasters are getting to smooth for their taste.
