? about Coasterbuzz Club

I'm thinking about joining Coasterbuzz Club, I have a question... is it worth $20 to join? All the events are far away from my home. I dont know if it is worth the $20 to join. Tell me why should I join the club. Thanks.

SFNE's Superman's the best!

If nothing else, do it beacause you will help the Jeff recover some of the losses of running this site.

If you enjoy coasterbuzz, It's worth the 20 bucks!
Well in my opinion it is definitely worth it, partly because there are no more annoying pop-up ads, partly because I'm helping Jeff out, and partly because its a coaster club that I can become a member of without having to shell out 50 bucks or more :)

CoasterBuzz Club was never intended to give members events and perks. Those we have certainly are nice, and I'm looking forward to them, but first and foremost you're helping me pay the bills.

I am not a member of the club, but I havent had popup ads in a long time now.

look, this site probably isn't going anywhere if you do join, or don't join the club.  thus if I spend money on a coaster club, I want perks and this club lacks them so in my opinion if your gonna spend the money to join a club, do it right the first time and join ACE.
That's your choice, but it does demonstrate you at least partially miss the point of the "club".  I think that if Jeff had simply said "Anyone who donates $20/year to the web site to help support it will get an ad-free version", he'd actually have LESS comments and complaints!

My page

Jeff puts a lot of time and effort into this site and i for one enjoy it immensely as it gives me a ton of entertainment.  I choose to support it for that simple reason, 20 bucks is not very much at all, you wont even miss it at the end of the month.  All this plus coastermani, SRM, CoasterbuzzCon, and the comradera (sp?) do it for me.

Does CCI know how to make a bad coaster?
I am not a coasterbuzz member but an ace member, its much better there are loads more events and many of the events the coasterbuzz club has(all except for coasterbuzzcon) + loads more and you also get a whole lot of coaster newsletters and magazines.
-----------------
If you spend any time here at all, drop the $20. Pretty cheap entertainment, if you ask me. And we've also got some of the best and most informed "coaster geeks" on the net (as well as a couple of idiots, but hey, it keeps it fun!).

Without the chaindog, you'd never get up the lifthill...
I'm not gonna tell you why you should do anything.  IF 20 bucks makes that much of a difference, you're in the wrong place anyway.

You get a really neato CoasterBuzz Club card , Too!  :)

Every club starts somewhere, and Coasterbuzz Club starts here. Heck, in a few years people may be asking why they should join ACE, and what they can give that CoasterBuzz can't!

My other car is now an Arrow X4D!

For $20.00 you can say you were a member in the begining, or closer to it. Of course, being a member of the CB club opens up the doors for Coastermania, and Timberfest. with a Cedar fair season Pass, it works out quite well.

However, ACE does give you half price at Kings Island and the infamous "walkback."

LIke mentioned before, The club is not about the perks and benefits. The club is about being a true coaster fan, with other true coaster fans.

Planned Parks for this summer: CP, SFWoA, SFGAm, SFKK, PKI, MA, SFStL, HP, KW, SFMM, KBF. Is 11 enough?

Anyone who has run and developed a web site knows how much time and effort goes in to it, as well as cost. If you have to ask why membership is $20.00 then you probably shouldn’t be even looking at this message. Twenty bucks a year is a bargain. So what if you don’t get perks at every park. You get great news every day here, plus intelligent (most of the time) discussions specifically about what we all love, COASTERS! Yes, I haven’t had pop ups for a long time either, but so what. Just because a piece of software can do that doesn’t mean that Jeff doesn’t deserve the Twenty bucks. If it wasn’t for him, where would we all be? Thrillnetwork? Screamcape? No, by far this is the best coaster web site out, PERIOD! You want to disagree, fine. You don’t want to support Jeff, fine. Be a member of ACE, NAPHA, or whatever, but if you like the site, help support it. If Jeff makes money on it, good for him. But personally I think he does it because he loves Coasters and Amusement Parks. If you still don’t get it, just move on.
