Scoring Game?

I don't want to start a new topic about this, but I think the "Vote Up" text should be changed to "High Five!" just for Coasterbuzz, not for POP Forums in general.

I'll second that notion. Perhaps "hight five, bro!"

Ok, that's pushing it, but I do dig the high five button.

^Changing an already worthless button so it's slightly more clever... High Five Bro!

I suppose it's better than eating all the cookies before a certain bake sale though.

I call Cedar Point my home park even though I live in the Chicago Suburbs.

Hahaha! That was still one of my favorite moments of that game, ever.

Usually, a sarcastic insult is used as an informal vote down.

Exactly. But that sarcastic comment typically deserves a vote down even more than the orginal comment. If you continue the train of sarcastic comments its just a pissing match that gets into other threads between the same posters and if someone else says something about it, they get dragged in.

Honestly, you're new, and I don't think you can really start making judgment calls about the way things go around here.

I'd like to see (in jest) a vote down option where if a post gets something like 2o votes down the post gets deleted...and maybe 20 posts deleted in that manner bans the user. Wonder who'd get banned first...that'd be a fun (though likely predictable) experiment.

Welcome to Coasterbuzz. Don't say anything stupid lol.

One of the things that makes Coasterbuzz unique (and frankly, worth reading) is that posters who make a lot of noise and don't add much to the conversation get berated until they learn or go away. It's sad that it has to work that way, but "pulling people aside" usually doesn't work (and I've tried it many times).

I'd rather see us police noise than police manners.

The vote down policy would be stupid. Awful, sarcastic, mean posts that don't contribute to the conversation one bit wouldn't get voted down enough. The reason is that the only people who would be them down are the people they are offending and those with a conscience.

I think it's a little late for that advice, no?

Edit: I think instead of a vote down button, there should be a "vote off" just like survivor.
Or, there could be an option to pay to remove Tyler Boes posts from view, just like you can with ads. I'd gladly pay an extra $5 in my club membership for that.

I'd do the same with Raven-Phile posts. Weird.

Tyler's folks should clone him and put them on sale. He could be this year's Furby...

Tyler the problem is that there would be far more people that would do it to you than would do it to Josh

I'd block Josh's posts. He ruined the KI campground surprise for me. ;)

I'd block everyone's posts so it's was just me talking to myself all day long.

Life would be complete.

^I do that anyways, I don't need a forum for it.
