San Diego back down from demands, SeaWorld will move forward with plans

The San Diego City Council has backed down from its demand that SeaWorld sign labor agreements on a proposed new hotel, ending a threat that the theme park might cancel its $50 million expansion plan. The city leases the land to the park. Council voted on the issue Tuesday night in a closed session.
