S&S Power was awarded first place in the best new amusement/theme park attraction category for the Thrust Air. Hypersonic XLC opened this year at Paramount's Kings Dominion and an even faster ride is testing in Japan.
Premier Rides was also recognized for the best technology applied to amusements, winning the award for their retrofit of the lap bars on the Flight of Fear coasters at Dominion and Paramount's Kings Island.
